Wendy Taylor, L.Ac., M.Ac., Dipl. Ac., RMT, is owner of New Leaf Acupuncture & Reiki.

I am passionate about empowering people to turn over a new leaf to enjoy greater health and well-being. I bring over a decade of experience in the healing arts to my practice and have successfully helped adults and teens with a wide range of issues, including: depression and anxiety, allergies, digestive issues, fatigue, infertility, migraines, and acute and chronic pain.

On the eve of turning 30, I was making a series of major life changes and was experiencing a lot of anxiety. My future spouse offered to give me some Reiki. I still remember the tremendous calm that spread through me. And the best part was that I could easily learn to do it for myself! I immediately took a Reiki level one class and began a practice of daily self-Reiki.

I use Reiki daily to maintain my body’s balance, manage stress, and help keep me well. I went on to receive my Master level credentials in the Usui Reiki Ryoho tradition from the Potomac Massage Training Institute because I felt called to teach Reiki and share this tremendous gift with others. I love teaching Reiki, giving Reiki treatments and incorporating Reiki into my acupuncture treatments.

Similarly, it was my own life changing experiences with acupuncture that led me to seek a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture from the acclaimed Maryland University of Integrative Health (formerly TAI Sophia), where I completed an extensive three-year study of Chinese Medicine and acupuncture. As a resident of the District of Columbia, I am proud to be a licensed acupuncturist in DC. I passed national examinations to become National Board Certified in Acupuncture (Diplomate Acupuncture) and keep that certification current with continuing education classes each year. My post-graduate study has focused on diagnostics, treating pain, supporting fertility, and working with people who have experienced trauma.

I am so grateful that I get to share the many benefits of acupuncture and Reiki with my patients and support them to truly thrive.

See My Pledge to You for more on my approach to treatment and my commitment to my patients.
