Reiki II – TBD – Please inquire

Just as everyone can benefit from the balancing effects of Reiki, anyone can learn this simple yet powerful form of healing and use it on themselves daily. Many people also give Reiki treatments to their children, loved ones and pets.

The ability to use Reiki is transferred to the student by a Reiki master – a process called an initiation or attunement – during a class. Because Reiki is attunement based, rather than a learned skill, you will leave a one-day class being able to offer Reiki to yourself and your loved ones from that day forward.

Classes are often co-taught with La Sarmiento, LMT. La has been a body/energy worker in private practice since 1992 and a Reiki teacher since 2003. La also is a Guiding Teacher and Senior Retreat Manager for the Insight Meditation Community of Washington (IMCW), facilitates the IMCW People of Color and LGBTQ sanghas, and completed the Community Dharma Leader training at the Spirit Rock Meditation Center in 2012.

We place particular emphasis on Reiki self-treatment as the basis for all other Reiki treatment and a powerful gift for relaxation, healing, and spiritual growth. In addition, Reiki is wonderful to share with children, family, friends, and pets.

Our Reiki students report that taking a Reiki class is empowering because it gives them access to a gentle yet powerful way to find balance, helping them to be calmer, more grounded and experience more ease in their body.

Students report that they love the hands-on practice on themselves and others in class and opportunities to get feedback. (NOTE: Both Reiki Level I and Reiki Level II include extensive hands-on practice on one another. If you have experienced trauma, I recommend you speak with me before the class, so we can discuss how to create a safer container for you.)

All classes, unless otherwise indicated, are held from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
